Thank you so much for your patience this past week as I’ve taken a bit of an unplanned break from blogging. Thank you, also, for you prayers for healing. He has answered, with a vengence. And so, when I saw today’s prompt for Five Minute Friday from The Gypsy Mama I knew it would be the prefect way to step back into my little corner of the world here.
Start
The sun streams down from heaven to earth; waves of life-giving warmth dance in the air joyfully delivering their golden-wrapped treasure.
Brilliant blooms of yellow, red, gold, pink stretch open and sigh in relief as they sway to song of a gentle breeze.
Deep inside, a tender green shoot timid – yet determined – pushes through the thawing soil after a long winter of oppression; cold; dark.
There has been mourning. Weeping. Striving.
But in this fresh breath comes dancing. Laughing. Growing.
Life.
This day – bright, fresh, warm – mirrors the slow, steady transformation occuring deep in the soil of my heart. Fresh, new, tender. It needs careful tending to ensure the change is lasting.
But it also needs celebration. Recognition. The here and now of it all. Who knows what may ride in on the winds of tomorrow’s skies.
But today the sun shines out the brighter, life stirs and reaches and thrives. So I will slowly, gingerly, unwrap this gift. Careful not to damage any the delicate intricacies of its beauty.
And revel in the gift.
Stop.

Thank you, Richelle! 🙂
Love description but it made me laugh because our warm spring had ended and it is snowing….and I tried to remember the gift of the early warmth. Thanks for stopping by.

Haha!! I TOTALLY get that! While we don’t have snow, it was back to fleeces, slippers, and heavy coats for us today, too. But before today we had almost a week of hot (for here) weather…bright sun and 70 F! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
Beautiful!

Thank you. 🙂
It needs careful tending to ensure the change is lasting . . . I think that is the key to most tranformation isn’t it. Not rushing what He is doing, just resting in it for what it is. Nice FMF, hope you are enjoying your break.
