Thankful Heart

I’ve been thinking for awhile now about gratitude, thankfulness, and of course, Thanksgiving. My mind kept circling around to the phrase, “Thankful Heart”. There are countless, beautiful, posts out there on the subject, and my own thoughts on the subject, as well as all the Word has to say about gratitude and thankfulness. I was prepared to add my two cents to the lot of them, but every time I sat down to write, Thankful Heart kept popping in my mind, and I was taken to this song from one of my favorite movies of all time. Granted, it’s a Christmas movie, but I believe the message of the song speaks volumes to the underlying themes and ideas behind the American holiday of Thanksgiving. But more than that, it encompasses an attitude I pray that I embody on a daily basis, year round.

So, my dear friends, I hope you enjoy this as much as I do, and I pray you find yourself filled with a truly Thankful Heart.

  1. I agree with the first comment. That was a really nice song and I am trying to live my life to help others. There are so many people in this world that could use a little help so I should not only think about myself. I am working on it, but I want to love everyone like family because I do believe we are judged by how many friends we have. I know some people that have tons of friends and I know people that have lost all their friends. The way we treat other people makes all the difference in the world!
